Yummy Yummy Yummy💥💎💎. I am a lover of cake and yesss, we have a proficient cake momma today. Also, how does it feel to go to an event that is well ordered and excellent? You would agree with me that it is refreshing and exciting when everything is done in order. Here with us today, we have not just a cake momma but also an event planner. Join me as I welcome her on stage🥂.

You look yummy yummy ma😆😍. Welcome on board, can we meet you ma?

My name is Adedoyin Rashidat Olukosi, I am a graduate of Mass communication from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (HND) , I love listening to gospel music, I love thinking, talking and trying out new things, I equally love baking
My brand name is Doyeenz place but people know it to be Dp_cakesnevents

Nice brand name. How long have you been an entrepreneur?

Well, I have been an entrepreneur for three years now and it has been exciting.

What inspired you to become an entrepreneur?

Hmmmmmm, one thing I know I love so much is events. This I knew from my higher institution days, but it wasn’t clearer to me until I graduated and was waiting for over 6 months before NYSC. I saw passion in event decoration and I interned with someone for few months before NYSC. After camp, on getting to my Local Government, my LGI mandated SAED for us and at that point I knew I was going into event decoration but unfortunately and fortunately (LOL) my instructor was better off with cakes. She often tell me that it will be an added advantage for you if you learn the baking aspect of event for those days that event decoration will not be available and baking jobs would be around you, I thought of this and that was how the journey started.

Wow, that is great. Being an entrepreneur, can you say it has brought fulfillment to you?

100% fulfillment, many times I look at myself to see I don’t get tired of what I do, even if I had spent 10 hours on a job.
What other fulfillment would you get when you enjoy what you do? None

I can’t agree less ma. What problem are you solving with your skill?

We cater for events and also we train people in the community to become a better version of themselves
To the glory of God we have been able to train over 60 students for free in the community where we found ourselves through partnering with NGOs.

You are adding value ma and that makes you attractive. What has been the major challenges you have faced as an entrepreneur?

As an entrepreneur you would be faced with so many challenges however one big challenge is in the world of event where there are competitors out there, how do you convince people to buy from you.

True. As an entrepreneur, what strategy (ies) did you employ to overcome the challenges?

My ever first strategy is GOD, when I put this first and I put diligence in what I do then it is sealed.

Wow, splendid. Can you say your customers have derived maximum satisfaction thus far from your services?

The truth still remains you can’t satisfy everyone, but when you are able to satisfy over 80% of your clients, then it is fulfilling.

Lovely. Where do you see your business in the next 10year?

By Gods grace, I see my business in the midst of the top businesses in the industry.

Excellent. What is your advice for younger ones that would want to take up your line of business?

One thing I have learnt in the journey is that  entrepreneurship is not for the weak or weary, because today you are glad you are getting it right and tomorrow it is looking as if you are failing; which we forget to know that either getting it right or not what is important is growth. In the place of consistency and diligence you will get there.
You might not have all you think you desire to start the business, start somewhere, start somehow just start even in the midst of not making sense to others it will definitely worth it.

Wow…well-done ma. It’s great having you here. Thank you for coming.
