My name is Adedoyin Akanni. I am a graduate of University of Ilorin a dynamic entrepreneur and Acting CEO of Deez-Creative Craft and Events and also a Convener of the Preneurs Concept International(A group of talented and skilled members impacting lives).

Thank you. What inspired you to go into this type of business???

My journey through into Crafts and Events was interesting and motivating due to my passion for creative works. I love making unique products such as customized phone pouches made with fabrics and leather, note pads, *hair farcinators, bow ties, bridal hand fan, *Ankara bags*nosemasks using various kinds of Unique fabrics that makes one stand out. I started  by making customized phone pouches, hair fascination, throw pillow. The “wow” response I got from customers got me inspired to do more.

When did you start, for how long???

I started since 2014(6years) at University of Ilorin till date.

Wow, great. What has been the challenges so far??

The challenge was having ample time balancing both business and academics. My products was in high demand and also organizing several activities on campus that mostly comes up in second semester and the UNILORIN tablet phone used by most students then, everyone craves to have a customized phone pouche. Production gradually slows down with time. I was giving more attention to my academics than the business, having difficulty balancing with business and academics which was stressful and challenging for me then.

What inspired you to keep pushing through??

I was determined to stay focused always by developing the passion and skills as a craft maker and event planner.

Can you say your customers has derived maximum satisfaction thus far??

Yes, my customers love my products and services. The feed-backs I get after delivery was a positive one.

Where do you see your business in the next 10years???

I see my business expanding both nationally and Internationally in the next ten years to come.

What is/are your advices to younger ones that wants to go into your kind of business???

My advice for young ones is to use their TIME wisely acquiring, standing to be a boss of their own(Self-reliant), focused and diligent towards achieving the best at all times.
