Entrepreneurs are great assets to our economy. Today we have a great asset on board, her products are quite fascinating. Let’s get to meet her.
Welcome to honournaija_blog, can we meet you?
Thank you very much for having me. My name is Adeagbo Aramide Priscilla. I’m a graduate of Early Childhood Education from the prestigious University of Ibadan. I hail from Ekiti state. Well I don’t really have hobbies but I’d say my major hobby or what I like doing most is trying out new places just for fun. Also I’m the CEO of Beautè By Arahbem, established in 2020 and still running up till date. Thank you.
Wow, that is great. What inspired you to start this amazing business?
Honestly I would say COVID. So back during the COVID pandemic, my lipgloss finished and I was in Abuja. I couldn’t get the type of lipgloss I wanted in all the stores I went to then I thought to myself, oh I can actually make this thing myself. This propelled me to start watching YouTube videos and learnt how to order materials from china and boom I found myself taking classes (paid classes) on everything that has to do with lipgloss.
Interesting. When did you start and for how long?
I started selling officially on October 8, 2020 and the brand is going to be 2 years soon.
What has been the challenges so far as an entrepreneur?
Hmmmmm a lot of challenges. Firstly shipping fee, I won’t lie shipping fee has made me want to close down the business couple of times because it keeps increasing and because I want the best and source for the best materials for my customers I buy my materials from China, but then it’s so hard to explain to my customer why the price of a lipgloss she bought 5 months ago has increased with extra #500.
Secondly lipgloss business is not something you sell everyday; it’s not a product that finishes quickly, a customer who buys a lipgloss today will certainly not buy until next 3-4 months because the one she bought hasn’t finished. So this is a business that I will tag as “New Customer, New Day”. You definitely need new customers everyday.
Hmmm, fascinating. Can you say your customers has derived maximum satisfaction thus far?
Yes I would gladly say that because the reviews has been amazing.
Great. Where do you see your business in the next 10years and what steps do you intend to take towards that vision?
I see BEAUTÈ BY ARAHBEM becoming global, yes we are already global because I deliver outside Nigeria, but I intend to have a big store that focus on various collections of lipgloss to suit the tastes of my customers.
Lovely. What is/are your advice to young ones that would want to go into your kind of business?
I would say don’t be discouraged because a lot of people venture into this business everyday so don’t say everybody is doing it. Be creative, Be different, come up with something unique that will make your own customers wanting to buy from you and not any other.
Excellent. Any word for honournaija_blog?
