Tourism is an adventure that is not only filling but also gives people the needed exposure to life, the environment, and places that are famous. Here with us today is an icon, one that knows her onions and a strategic member of Nigeria politics. She runs her own tourist center and quite a productive one. Let’s join in the ride.

I’m Hon. Popoola Zainab Dayo, the CEO of Zenergy Tour, an Archaeologist and a member of the Oyo State Youth Parliament. I’m an advocate of African Cultural Heritage & I’m passionate about tourism. As an archaeologist, I have keen interest about promoting our heritage to the world through tourism education.
During my service year, I started Zenergy Tour, a tourism company fully registered by CAC & SMEDAN, in order to educate & expose tourists to an exhilarating adventure in Africa. Since its inception, it has made invaluable and culturally significant contributions, which led to the Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide (YCYW) conferring it with the Omoluabi Brand of the Year award, Most Beautiful Yoruba Girl Achiever’s Award in 2022 and inter alia. As a member of the Oyo State Youth Parliament & the Secretary on Education, Culture and Tourism Committee, I have lend my voice via motions and discussions on promoting tourism & preserving tourist destinations in Oyo State.

Thank you for this question. I’m passionate about African’s Cultural Heritage & Tourism development in Oyo State, Nigeria and Africa at large. I see the need to promote our cultural heriatge especially among our younger generations.
Lovely. When did you start and for how long?
I started on the 1st of July, 2022 during my service year at the Oyo State House of Assembly. It’s 10 months old🤗🥰
Great. What has been the challenges so far as an entrepreneur?
As a start up, I experienced some challenges most especially on logistics but I must say it keeps getting better.
Can you say your customers has derived maximum satisfaction thus far?
Yes, we create long-lasting memories with our esteemed tourists. It’s always being more than an Adventure!
Where do you see your business in the next 10years and what steps do you intend to take towards that vision?
In the next 10 year, Zenergy Tour will be a globally recognized tourism company that promote, preserve and explore the rich Africa Cultural Heritage as well as raise responsible tourism ambassadors. We won’t stop the advocacy until we achieve it. May Almighty God help us!
Amen. What is/are your advice to young ones that would want to go into your kind of business?
I am always elated when I see my folks explore the great opportunity in the tourism industry and I will encourage them to understand the business of tourism and be creative. I have inspired some to get into tourism business and I will continue to motivate the upcoming ones.
