The National Youth Service Corps has mobilized 66, 000 graduates to participate in the 2020 Batch B service year as the camp is set to reopen on November 10 after a long break as a result of COVID-19.
The Director-General of NCDC Chikwe Ihekweazu said the COVID-19 test is based on the guildlines for prevention of the virus. He also encouraged the NYSC officials and prospective corp members to take responsibility and shun complacency as the second wave of COVID-19 virus is inevitable but can be prevented.
He further said the COVID-19 test is to determine the health status of the corp members and to ensure needed and proper medications are harnessed and administered to infected corp members.
NCDC is set to work with NYSC to ensure the COVID-19 test is carried out dutifully.
