The Federal Government has declared that Senior Secondary school final year students can sit for the General Certificate Examination if there is no shift in the timetable of West African Examination Council (WAEC). The Minister of State for Education disclosed this during the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 briefing.
He said the exam (GCE) might be the only option the country might have if WAEC does not shift the date for their exam.
The Minister also stated that the Ministry will meet with relevant stakeholders on 30th of July to discuss the preparations and safe reopening of schools.
Final year students are encourage to study and prepare well ahead.
