ClockAfrica; A Voice to Nations

Sharing is caring!

Entrepreneurship is all about solving problems. Today, we have someone whose dynamic work has brought smiles to people’s faces. Let’s get to meet him.

Welcome to honournaija_blog, can we meet you?

Wow, it is an honour to be here today. My name is Lasisi Oluwasegun. I am the founder of ClockAfrica network where we tell the stories of African people,  places, businesses and events. We also provides tech based services in other Industries.

Fascinating. What inspired you to start this amazing business?

I realized that Africans are not well represented on world digital platforms. The way our stories are been told quite represent the opposite of who we are. It was a stain on us, on our culture, believes and personality. So I took took it upon myself to create a platform that will give Africans both home and Abroad a voice and represent us in the way that we truly are. The people that we truly are. This gave birth to Clockafrica Network.

When did you start and for how long?

So the vision started in 2012 but we didn’t officially start until 2015 so if we have to talk about when we started officially thats 7years now and 11years in total.

What has been the challenges so far as an entrepreneur?

Well I wouldn’t say there are no challenges but then as it comes we find ways to overcome the challenges.

Usually, for us, challenges are growth centred sofar we are growing then challenges are inevitable. Also running business in Africa itself is a lot. It comes with it’s turns and at each time and each phase of growth we able to weather the storm.

True words sir. Can you say your customers has derived maximum satisfaction thus far?

Experientially speaking our customers are very satisfied our services. If you own a business, and you keep getting calls and whatsapp chat with people saying “so and so referred me to you” or “i saw what you did for so and so and i want you to do the same for me” by the time you start getting messages and calls like this, you sure are doing a great job. So far, that has been our experience.

Where do you see your business in the next 10years and what steps do you intend to take towards that vision?

10 years, hmmmm…..we just simply look forward serving a world based audience an clients. We look forward to working with international brands and personalities.
What we are putting in place is Structure. No matter how beautiful the vision is, if there’s no structure and effective team to make it happen you know it won’t work so, we are working hard on the business even as we are in the business.

Lovely. What is/are your advice to young ones that would want to go into your kind of business?

One, just start, somehow somewhere.
Two, don’t limit yourself. Explore! There are alot of stories to tell and make money. So launch out and dare.
